Excavators are essential pieces of engineering machinery that excel in excavating and relocating soil, stones, and other materials. These versatile machines are widely utilized in several industries, including construction, roadways, water and electricity, and transportation, due to their adept functionality. The popularity of excavators is attributed to their multifaceted advantages that make them a sought-after equipment.
Modern excavators have become more efficient and accurate in their operational performance. Thanks to the constant advancements in technology, these excavators are now equipped with cutting-edge control systems and operating technologies. This allows them to adapt to different working conditions and fulfill a range of engineering requirements. They can seamlessly switch between operating modes like blasting and heavy lifting, ensuring enhanced productivity and versatility on construction sites.
In our everyday lives, it is impossible to avoid experiencing a range of bumps and jolts while using our chassis. The question then becomes how best to protect our chassis from such damage.
1. Support wheel maintenance
To prevent the supporting wheel from being submerged in water and mud for an extended period of time, it is advisable to avoid such situations.
To ensure the maintenance of the track, it is important to prop up one side of the track and drive the walking motor after completing the daily work. This will help shake off any debris like mud and gravel that may have accumulated on the track.
During winter construction, it is crucial to keep the supporting wheels of the excavator dry. This is because there's a floating seal between the outer wheel and the shaft, which can be damaged if it comes into contact with water that freezes overnight. When the excavator is moved again, the floating seal may be scratched and result in oil leakage. To prevent any complications, it's important to keep the supporting wheels of the excavator dry at all times.
It's crucial to take good care of the supporting wheels on your machine since damaged ones can lead to various malfunctions such as deviation while walking and reduced speed. If you need to replace the supporting rollers, it is recommended to replace all of the supporting rollers on one side of the track for optimal performance. Mixing old and new supporting rollers on one side of the track can cause quicker wear and tear on the new supporting rollers, so it's best to avoid this if possible. Keep your machine maintained to avoid any unwanted malfunctions caused by damaged supporting wheels.
